Greencoat Nursery Billesley: preschool by Billesley Common

Welcome to Greencoat Nursery - Billesley

Our Billesley preschool is a small, friendly setting where every child is known and cared for. Ofsted rated us Good in all areas in April 2024. Many local families still know us as Billesley Ark, the preschool that has cared for children here since 2015 and joined the Greencoat family in January 2022. We are inside the Malachi Centre, 725 Yardley Wood Road, Billesley, Birmingham B13 0PT, right next to Billesley Common, where the children head outdoors every day, and we work alongside the centre's Early Help team.

We offer 15 hour, 30 hour and fee-paying places for children aged 2 to 5, Monday to Friday, 9am to 3pm, 38 weeks a year (term time only). We'd love to show you around: call us on 07756 88 2000 or book a visit below.

We went to visit a few preschools to find the best fit. Billesley Ark was the only visit we had where the staff actually interacted with my daughter directly.

It's a small nursery which is a huge positive as it enables the teachers to really get to know the children … nobody gets lost in the crowd.

This nursery is excellent, the educationally enriching environment is perfect for preschoolers.

My daughter has had a wonderful time here and has learnt more about sharing, turn taking and social situations.

The staff are kind, friendly and very supportive. Their standards of care are second to none.

Outdoors

We have a secure outdoor area providing a range of materials and activities to explore. We have a mud pit, large water tray and mud kitchen so that children can engage deeply in outdoor play.

We are in the heart of the community and have established good links with local businesses. We enjoy taking the children to local places of interest and provide cultural trips to develop the children's sense of self and community.

We are fortunate to be situated alongside Billesley common and use this resource for daily walks, tree climbing and splashing in the river. We believe nature is key to our children's development and take children out to experience all weather and every season.
