Welcome to Greencoat Nursery - Sparkhill

A very warm welcome to Greencoat Nursery located at 259 Stratford Road. We are proud of our new setting which first opened in January 2018, where our caring and enthusiastic staff make learning fun and exciting for our wonderful children.


We are Ofsted registered, offering full-time and part-time care, and education for children. We offer 52 places for children aged from 2-5 years old. The nursery is open 38 weeks of the year making us a term time only setting. The building is situated in the heart of the community and offers a safe and secure environment for our superstars to thrive and have fun. The setting is air-conditioned offering staff and children great comfort throughout the year. 


We are now offering a pick-up and drop off service for children.

My son came from an Outstanding nursery to Greencoat. I wasn't sure it could offer the same breadth of development as his previous nursery, but I was wrong. 

I am extremely pleased with the attention and care to his development. The staff work closely with parents directly as well as through an app. The progress shared via the app informs parents of any key activities the children did, linking these activities to key development milestones. Parents can also record any activities/developments and share them with the nursery.

Our Outdoor Play Area

We have a new fully refurbished garden here at Greencoat Nursery. The garden is a safe place for children to play and learn with gates all around. Children are provided with a range of toys such as cars, scooters, bikes etc.


We also have our very own mud kitchen where children are able to use their imagination skills. Practitioners provide children with a range of natural resources such as pots and pans. There is an area where children can play with sand or water. Children are provided with fresh water and sand on a daily basis as well as different types of equipment.


Activities are planned around the set theme inside the play room as well as in the garden. This includes construction toys such as mega blocks. There is also a table and chairs for children who choose to have quiet time where they are able to read a story or draw a picture.


As a setting here at Greencoat Nursery we are always improving and implementing new ideas within our outdoor play area. Children are given opportunities to learn and play both indoors and outdoors.
